Climate activists from the group 'Last Generation' confirmed that the largest blockade in history will take place in Warsaw. This will happen due to the refusal of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk to meet with them. The action was announced by representatives of the group who set up a negotiation table in front of Tusk's office. This was reported by Polsat News.

The group 'Last Generation' has been blocking an intersection in Warsaw for several days.

Activists are calling for everyone to join the action, which will take place on December 13 at 17:00 on Wisłostrada. As representatives of the group state, this blockade will be the largest in the history of their movement.

Activists believe they have no other choice but to organize such a blockade. They claim that Tusk does not respond to their demands and does not meet with them.

Earlier, Tusk called on law enforcement to take decisive action against activists blocking roads.

The demands of the group 'Last Generation' are already known. They demand that all funds from the construction of new highways and motorways be directed to regional public transport. They also propose to establish a single ticket for regional transport across the country for the price of 50 zlotys per month.

Protests in other countries

In October, eco-activists from the Extinction Rebellion movement blocked the locks in the city of Eemshaven in the Netherlands. They wanted to draw attention to environmental pollution by cruise ships. Such actions have already taken place several times.

Also, in the United Kingdom, activists from the Just Stop Oil movement splashed soup on a painting in the National Gallery of London. For this, they were sentenced to imprisonment.

In Stockholm, eco-activists painted Claude Monet's painting in the local National Museum. This was their original way of conducting a protest.
