Expert assesses whether the US administration will manage to provide Ukraine with previously allocated aid by the end of the term.
After the elections in the USA, a period of political uncertainty began, but some actions of President Joseph Biden's administration were predictable. This was stated by Igor Eisenberg, a professor at Manhattan University. He claims that Biden and his team will spend all funds allocated by Congress for aid to Ukraine to provide new military assistance packages by January 20. Although the form of assistance will remain unchanged, as Russia may retaliate with a nuclear strike. Eisenberg also believes that Putin is counting on a prolonged war of attrition and hopes that the West will stop aiding Ukraine. He notes that the new administration of the US president will be crucial for continuing aid to Ukraine and for establishing relations between the US and the EU. He emphasizes that Europe's position is important and the political spectrum of the EU is undergoing changes.
