According to TSN.ua: Mykhailo Poplavsky has been removed from his role as rector of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts (KNUCA), concluding a leadership tenure that spanned more than three decades. The change was triggered by the expiration of his contract. For now, the university will be led by Ihor Komarnytskyi until new elections are held. Education Minister Oksen Lisovyi confirmed this development, stating that

“the contract term for the president of the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, Mykhailo Poplavsky, has recently expired.”

Mykhailo Poplavsky served as the university's rector from 1995 until 2014 and was re-elected to the position of KNUCA president in 2021.
