Presidential draft law on the independence of NABU and SAP

The Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, drew attention to the voting on President Volodymyr Zelensky's draft law in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. He called it excellent. Yermak wrote about this on Telegram on Thursday, July 31.

Yermak emphasized that 331 members of parliament voted 'for'.

'We have a wonderful civic society, a great youth that President Volodymyr Zelensky hears. There is a quick dialogue between the authorities and the society', he stressed.

According to him, this is true democracy, where people's opinions are heard, along with actions and responses.

The head of the President's Office thanked the deputies for their voting.

'Winners are everyone, especially democratic Ukraine', Yermak added.

Recall that on July 31, the Rada supported the draft law on returning powers to NABU and SAP.

Also, during the meeting, MP Dmytro Kostiuk announced his intention to leave the 'Servant of the People' faction. He explained that the reason was the vote on the draft law on stripping anti-corruption agencies of independence.

During the vote, Ukrainian deputies expressed support for the President's draft law on the independence of NABU and SAP, which is considered an important step in strengthening democracy in Ukraine.
