The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, stated that Ukraine does not plan to produce nuclear weapons. He emphasized that this is in line with the country's international obligations. According to Yermak, Ukraine has already made the decision to abandon nuclear weapons and is now working on obtaining security guarantees from other states.
President Volodymyr Zelensky also confirmed that Ukraine intends to join NATO. Zelensky emphasized that during the signing of the Budapest Memorandum, Ukraine renounced nuclear weapons for the sake of security guarantees and territorial integrity.
