Germany Proposes to Restrict Entry of Ukrainian Men: What is the Reason.
Increase in the Number of Refugees from Ukraine in the EU
In September of this year, over 79 thousand Ukrainians received temporary protection in European Union countries, which is a significant increase compared to the previous month. This increase is related to the Ukrainian government's decision to allow men aged 18-22 to leave the country.According to inkorr.com: Unfortunately, Germany is implementing restrictions on the entry of young Ukrainians following the lifting of the ban on their exit. Christian Social Union leader Markus Söder has urged the European Union to influence Ukraine to tighten exit regulations.
According to Eurostat, in September, over 4 million Ukrainian refugees with temporary protection status resided in European countries, which is a significant proportion of all individuals with this status.
This situation reflects the ongoing need for Ukrainians to seek protection abroad due to the continuing conflicts in Ukraine. EU countries are facing new challenges in regulating the flow of refugees, especially concerning young men who are able to leave the country.
