According to Novyny.live: The Estonian Refugee Council has opened applications for a financial aid program designed for households impacted by the war. This initiative offers grants ranging from 29,000 to 42,000 Ukrainian hryvnias, providing crucial support to farmers and agricultural workers during a difficult period. This aid is part of broader international efforts to help stabilize Ukraine's vital agricultural sector.

Application Deadlines and Grant Amounts

Residents of Zaporizhzhia Oblast can apply until February 8, 2026, while the deadline for Cherkasy and Kirovohrad Oblasts is February 9, 2026. The specific grant amount is determined by the type of agricultural activity:

  • Rabbit, goat, and beekeeping - 29,000 hryvnias;
  • Poultry farming - 30,000 hryvnias;
  • Pork production - 31,000 hryvnias;
  • Meat and dairy production - 42,000 hryvnias.

Eligibility for the program is targeted at vulnerable groups, including seniors (aged 60+), individuals with disabilities (first or second category), internally displaced persons, the unemployed, large families, families with children under two, and single parents with children. This targeted approach aims to assist those most affected by the war's economic consequences. The program underscores the commitment to ensuring equitable access to recovery resources for those in need.

By offering this financial support, the Estonian Refugee Council highlights the ongoing role of international organizations in aiding Ukraine's recovery. With the agricultural sector facing significant disruption, such grants can be a decisive factor for many households striving to maintain their livelihoods.
