European Parliament Approves €90 Billion Loan for Ukraine, with €60 Billion Earmarked for Defense.
European Parliament Backs Ukraine with Major Financial Package
According to UATV: On February 11, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov expressed gratitude to the European Parliament for endorsing a substantial €90 billion loan for Ukraine. This financial support is critical for the nation, as €60 billion of the total is specifically allocated to bolster its defense capabilities. The approval of this loan underscores the EU's continued commitment to Ukraine's sovereignty and security.
The funds are scheduled for disbursement in 2026-2027, enabling Ukraine to strategically plan for the reinforcement of its national security. The European Parliament has already voted in favor of three legislative acts that pave the way for this financial assistance.
We anticipate a swift allocation process so these resources can reach the front lines without delay.

This loan represents one of the largest financial infusions Ukraine has received from the EU and is vital for sustaining the country's economy amid ongoing military aggression. The provision of funds in the coming years will allow Ukraine not only to strengthen its defensive posture but also to focus on other critical aspects of post-conflict recovery.
