The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, met with the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, in the Kremlin. Fico reported that he had previously informed European leaders about his trip to Putin. He expressed his outrage over the position of the President of Ukraine, who opposes the transit of gas through Ukraine. Fico also stated that Putin confirmed his willingness to continue gas supplies to Europe. They discussed the situation in Ukraine and sought ways for a peaceful resolution to the conflict. This is already the third European leader to visit Moscow since Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
