Fico accused Ukrainian troops of 'Nazism' and 'fascism'.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that "Nazi and fascist" troops operate in Ukraine, while the international community "silently tolerates" this. The politician made this statement during a commemoration of the victims of the Holocaust and racial violence, writes Tasr.
We all talk about fascism, Nazism, and at the same Time, we silently tolerate that there are units in Ukraine with very clear labels associated with movements we consider dangerous and forbidden today," he says.
According to the Prime Minister, the world is full of "falsehood and lies", because on one hand, crimes are talked about, but on the other hand, incredible compromises are made over time that insult the victims of the Holocaust and racial violence.
The international community must recognize that it is unacceptable for troops using Nazi labels, who often behave that way, to fight in Ukraine," added Fico.
Slovak Prime Minister accused Ukraine of Nazism
Recall, Fico stated that Russia's war began "with the rampage of Ukrainian neo-Nazis." According to him, Russia's military invasion of Ukraine also aimed to "mislead Russia into believing that NATO would not expand further east." The Slovak Prime Minister also characterized Ukraine's possible NATO membership as a good basis "for the start of World War III."
Peace negotiations with Russia are needed
By the way, the Slovak Minister of Defense believes that Ukraine needs peace talks with Russia. According to him, the situation on the front is currently frozen. Given the current state of the military conflict, it is necessary to start talking about peace negotiations. EU and US leaders should be involved in this process.
