In some regions of Ukraine, a financial support program for families with children has been launched by the International Charitable Organization 'SOS Children's Villages'. Grants are provided for starting a business for individuals who have experienced war or find themselves in difficult situations.

The charity foundation's press service reported this.

Who and where can receive a grant of over $7,000

According to the social and economic support project for vulnerable Ukrainian families, the International Charitable Organization will allocate UAH 179,000 (over $7,360) for starting or restoring a business.

'Do you want to own your own business? Join the training, receive consultations, and the opportunity to get a grant for your entrepreneurial start,' the message states.

Project participants will receive mandatory training, during which they can benefit from:

  • online courses from experts;
  • individual consultations;
  • support in developing a business plan.

Parents of families with children who live or are registered as internally displaced persons in Poltava, Kyiv, or Lviv regions can participate in the project.

The project is implemented with the support of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany (BMZ).

How to apply for participation in the program

Registration for the project will last until August 31, and the launch will take place on September 15, 2025. To participate, you need to fill out a special online form.

'Participation in the project is completely free of charge, but the selection of participants will be conducted on a competitive basis. After filling out the form, representatives of SOS Children's Villages will contact you and provide details about the program's conditions and next steps,' the organizers explained.
