Financial Support Program in Ukraine

According to Novyny.live: A new financial aid program in Ukraine is offering grants to vulnerable households in six regions, with payments starting from 29,000 hryvnias. This initiative is designed to assist citizens impacted by the ongoing war, providing crucial support for recovery.

Eligible Regions and Grant Amounts

The program covers the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kirovohrad, Poltava, and Cherkasy regions. The amount of financial assistance varies from 29,000 to 42,000 hryvnias, depending on the type of agricultural activity. Specifically, grants are allocated for:

  • Poultry farming – 30,000 hryvnias;
  • Meat and dairy production – 42,000 hryvnias;
  • Pig farming – 31,000 hryvnias;
  • Rabbit, goat, and beekeeping – 29,000 hryvnias.

Applications for this financial support will be accepted until February 1 in the Kamianskyi and Synelnykove districts of Dnipropetrovsk region, and until February 8 in the Zaporizhzhia district of Zaporizhzhia region. Separately, on January 21, the UNHCR will begin accepting applications for a different financial aid payment of 10,800 hryvnias.

Eligibility for this funding extends to several population categories, including:

  • Internally displaced persons;
  • Unemployed individuals;
  • Large families;
  • Families with children under two years old;
  • Single mothers and fathers with children;
  • Citizens with disabilities of groups 1-2 or chronic illnesses;
  • Elderly people (aged 60 and over).

This program represents a significant step in supporting those most in need during the current crisis. These grants are part of broader international and national efforts to stabilize communities affected by the conflict.

The financial support program in Ukraine responds to the needs of vulnerable populations affected by the war, aiming to restore their economic stability.

Providing monetary payments for various economic activities will not only improve family welfare but also contribute to the development of local economies in the specified regions. Given the complex socio-economic conditions in Ukraine, such an initiative is both timely and vital for supporting the most vulnerable population groups.
