Gas prices will rise in May: why utility bills will increase.
From May 1, 2025, Ukrainians will face increased costs for utility payments due to the introduction of a separate fee for gas distribution. The company 'Gazmerzhy' announced that residents will receive a new bill related to the technical maintenance of buildings. This will include payment for checking the technical condition of gas networks and equipment. Conducting such checks ensures the safety of gas supply in apartment buildings.
The frequency of inspections will depend on the age of the building. If the building is less than 25 years old, inspections will be conducted every five years; if it is older - every three years.
Residents should be prepared for additional costs starting in May when bills for the new service will begin to arrive. We also remind owners of boilers that they will have to find alternative heating.
