97% of youth already have their tricks on how to make business trips more exciting.

A third of Generation Z members are willing to spend money on delicious dinners during trips, and nearly three-quarters of them are willing to pay extra for upgraded meals or hotels, compared to just 27% of their older boomer colleagues.

As a result, 36% of respondents wish to more actively share their 'business perks' on social media, posting an average of three photos per day during their travels for their online friends.

The study was commissioned by Hotels.com to celebrate the launch of the 'Save Your Way' program. It allows participants to choose between an immediate discount or accumulating points for future use.

Melaine Fish, a brand representative, noted: “Business travel doesn’t have to be just work, and this shows that the younger generation fully embraces this.”
“Not only are Generation Z and millennials likely to continue their leisure travels, they are also the most resourceful. 39% of them maximize their rewards from business trips for personal trips.”

The research also revealed several useful tips for enhancing the business travel experience. For example: 35% of youth find it advantageous to extend the trip by a few 'personal days', and 27% accumulate a daily meal budget for one exquisite dinner.

43% of young people want to bring a friend or family member to share new experiences.

More than a third (36%) of young employees are also willing to include taxi or private car expenses in their budget instead of using public transport.

A common preference across all generations is that New York tops the list of desired business trip destinations according to data from OnePoll.com.

Melaine Fish for Hotels.com added: “For Generation Z, business trips are a chance to climb the career ladder, meet new people, and explore new places.”
“These new data illustrate the differences in the needs of employees of different ages, and it is important for us to allow each generation to leverage the flexibility of their discounts.”
SWNS In summary, the survey results indicate that youth actively utilize the opportunities provided by business trips. They not only seek to benefit from work but also look for ways to maximize their experiences and achievements during such trips. This attitude underscores the changes in the culture of work and travel among the younger generation, opening new horizons for companies and services that serve them.
