Hero Andriy Shova: the story of life and the feat of 'Khrust'.

About Andriy Shova
Andriy Shova, better known as Khrust, was killed on May 4, 2022, near the village of Prudjanka in the Kharkiv region. He was born in 1992 in the village of Verkhnі Sіnіvtsi in the Hlyboka area. He studied at the Nyzhniasynivetska school, and after graduating, received a diploma from the Chernivtsi faculty of the National Technical University 'Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute'. In civilian life, Andriy was a co-owner of a car service but decided to take up arms to defend Ukraine against Russian aggressors.
With the onset of full-scale war, Andriy took up arms to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers. He served in the ranks of the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade 'Edelweiss', where he held the position of a shooter. Together with his comrades, he participated in the liberation of the Sumy and Kharkiv regions.
Tragic circumstances of death
Andriy was killed during the evacuation of the wounded in the Kharkiv region when his vehicle was blown up by a hidden mine. He was only 29 years old. Andriy's wife recalls that he always dreamed of a happy future for his children and wanted them never to see war.
Commemoration
Andriy Shova was buried in his native village of Verkhnі Sіnіvtsi, where he was welcomed by relatives and friends. Posthumous awards were bestowed upon him, and one of the streets in the Chernivtsi region was renamed in his honor.
Today we take part in a minute of silence to honor the memory of all Ukrainians who gave their lives for their homeland.
The memory of heroes like Andriy is an important part of our history. They not only fought for our freedom but also left behind a legacy of courage and bravery for future generations. Honoring the fallen is our duty to ensure their sacrifices are not forgotten.
