Life and service of Dmytro Ravnist
Defender of Ukraine Dmytro Ravnist died on April 23, 2024, from multiple shrapnel wounds in the hospital. This information was confirmed by the Lviv City Council and an electronic petition on the website of the President of Ukraine, reports 'Hlavcom'.
Dmytro was born on June 26, 1999, in Podilsk, Odesa region. He studied at City Lyceum No. 6 and then completed his education at Podilsk Professional Lyceum, where he obtained the profession of an electrician. After completing military service, he worked as an electrician.
According to relatives, Dmytro was kind and fair, always ready to help. He was passionate about sewing leather products, interested in computer games, and had a particular interest in sappers' work. He dreamed of an independent Ukraine.
Contribution to the defense of Ukraine
He participated in the anti-terrorist operation and the defense of Kyiv, as well as protected the territorial integrity of the country as part of the 45th Operational Purpose Regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine. For his merits, Dmytro was awarded the Order for Courage, the 'Veteran of War' medal, and honors from the National Guard of Ukraine.
Dmytro Ravnist is a defender who gave his life for the independence and freedom of his country. His contribution to defending the territorial integrity of Ukraine will always be remembered, and his heroic actions will serve as an example for future generations.
