About Ivan Zariyniak
Ivan Zariyniak was a defender of Ukraine who gave his life for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of our country. He served in the 3rd separate assault brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ivan Zariyniak, born on July 6, 1988, lived in Lviv. He graduated from high school and Lviv National University. He worked as a sales manager and was known for his devotion and support of the football club 'Karpaty.'
Zariyniak took up arms in defense of his homeland from the first day of the invasion of Russian troops. He participated in battles in the southern Slobozhanshchyna and Donetsk directions.

A representative of the Futsal Association of Lviv spoke about the fallen hero: 'Ivan Zariyniak was known not only as a soldier but also as an athlete who always gave his all, both on the sports field and in everyday life.'
Ivan Zariyniak received the Golden Cross from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He died while performing a combat mission on the Kharkiv front and was buried on Defender's Day of Ukraine.
We honor the memory of Ivan and all the heroes who gave their lives for the freedom of our state.
