Hero of Ukraine spoke about when a ceasefire would benefit the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The commander of the 20th separate UAV regiment K-2, Lieutenant Colonel Kyrylo Veres, expressed his opinion on the duration of a ceasefire with Russia. He noted that if it were to be established, it should not last longer than three months. He explained that his military unit needs a little rest, but no more than three months.

Moreover, Kyrylo Veres supports the idea of a ceasefire and freezing the conflict, as any war ends either through negotiations or capitulation. He emphasized that it is more important to preserve the lives of people and the army than the borders of Ukraine. An army can exist without a country, but a country cannot exist without an army.

US President Donald Trump also plans to meet with Putin and assures that he wants the war in Ukraine to end as soon as possible. According to him, negotiations are already underway. It is worth noting that Trump had previously stated that he could end the war in Ukraine in one day.

The news that Moscow is open to dialogue with the new US administration regarding the 'Ukrainian conflict' was also reported by Putin. He emphasized the need for long-term peace based on respect for the legitimate interests of all nations. However, Donald Trump did not mention Ukraine in his inauguration speech.
