According to Novyny.live: More than a thousand Ukrainian households are eligible for grants of up to $970 from the Estonian Refugee Council. This wartime support program is designed to assist vulnerable groups who have suffered due to the ongoing conflict. The program offers a minimum payment of $668 (29,000 hryvnias) and a maximum of $967 (42,000 hryvnias). Registration deadlines vary by region:
- Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: February 1, 2024,
- Zaporizhzhia Oblast: February 8, 2024,
- Cherkasy and Kirovohrad Oblasts: February 9, 2026.
The program also covers Donetsk, Poltava, and Cherkasy oblasts.
Eligible vulnerable groups include:
- Internally displaced persons,
- The unemployed,
- Large families,
- Families with children under two years old,
- Single mothers and fathers with children,
- Individuals with first or second category disabilities,
- Elderly people over 60 years of age.
The grants are intended to support various types of household economic activities. Specific funding allocations include:
- Poultry farming: 30,000 hryvnias,
- Meat and dairy production: 42,000 hryvnias,
- Pork production: 31,000 hryvnias,
- Rabbit, goat, and beekeeping: 29,000 hryvnias.
Food production and service activities can also receive support of 42,000 hryvnias.
