The government announced payments for Independence Day: how much people with disabilities will receive.
On the occasion of Independence Day, celebrated on August 24, the government decided to provide special cash assistance to citizens of Ukraine who belong to privileged categories.
The Pension Fund of Ukraine reported what payments people with disabilities will receive in August 2025.
How much will be added for people with disabilities in August
In August, financial assistance will be provided to people with disabilities due to various reasons. The amounts of payments for 2025 are:
- Group III — 2,700 UAH;
- Group II — 2,900 UAH;
- Group I — 3,100 UAH;
Also, 3,100 UAH will be received by citizens who have special merits before the state.
Who else will receive payments for Independence Day in August
Financial assistance is provided for the following categories of citizens:
- 450 UAH: participants of the war, former prisoners of concentration camps, ghettos and others, as well as children of partisans and other fighters against the Nazis;
- 650 UAH: family members of deceased soldiers, widows/widowers of war veterans and others;
- 1,000 UAH: combatants, victims of the Revolution of Dignity and others.
For participants who are not pensioners or servicemen, payments will be made after submitting an application.
It should also be noted that people with disabilities can receive a pension earlier if they have the necessary insurance experience and additional benefits from the state.
In preparation for Independence Day, the government of Ukraine decided to provide special cash assistance to citizens who fall into privileged categories. The main categories for receiving financial support this year are people with disabilities and participants of the war, widows and widowers of veterans, as well as other persons with special merits before the state. The emphasis is placed on the fact that in August this year, payments are provided in amounts determined for each category separately.Read also
