Financial Support Initiative Begins for Sumy Region's Most Vulnerable
According to Novyny.live: A new registration drive is now open for a financial aid program targeting vulnerable citizens in Ukraine's Sumy region. The initiative, specifically for households with pensioners or persons with disabilities, is being rolled out in the Bilopillia territorial community. The local civic organization 'Responsible Citizens,' in partnership with JERU, is implementing the project, which is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office. This support comes as many communities in Ukraine continue to face severe economic strain due to the ongoing war.
Eligibility for Financial Assistance
The monetary aid is available to several categories of residents, including:
- Large families;
- Households with persons with disabilities;
- Single mothers or fathers;
- Households that include pregnant women or infants;
- Families with elderly pensioners.
A key condition for eligibility is that applicants must not have received similar cash payments from any other organization within the previous three months.
