The commander of the 'Caucasian Legion', Lado Gamsakhurdia, who is participating in the war in Ukraine, addressed the court's verdict in 'DNR', which sentenced him to 18 years in prison. According to the military man, he is not surprised by this decision, as Russian propaganda has long accused him of terrorism.

The military stated that he intends to liberate the Caucasus from Russian occupation. A military committee has been established in the Caucasian Union, which has been working on this issue for two years.

Earlier, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze stated that the country is refusing negotiations with the EU until 2028. According to him, Georgia plans to join the EU with a healthy democracy and a strong economy, rather than begging for clemency. This has led to an increase in protests in the country.

Authorities in Georgia also conducted searches in the offices of opposition parties 'United National Movement' and 'Coalition for Changes'. The founder of the television company 'Mtavari' and leader of the 'Coalition for Changes', Nikoloz Gvaramia, was detained. Activist Gela Khasaya was also detained.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has detained 402 people over 11 days of protests.
