The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine disabled the Russian ship 'Alexander Obukhov'.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on a successful operation, as a result of which the Russian minesweeper 'Alexander Obukhov' of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces was disabled.
According to the information from the Main Intelligence Directorate, the ship, which was based in the city of Baltiysk and intended to go on combat duty, suffered serious damages. Due to the mysterious appearance of a hole in the gas duct, water entered the engine, leading to significant operational problems for the vessel.
Now the Russian minesweeper requires a major overhaul, which could be a serious challenge for the Russian fleet. The damaged M-503 engine is scarce, and its repair is technically complex and costly.
It is worth noting that 'Obukhov' recently, in July of this year, underwent repair work in St. Petersburg. This is the second disabled ship of the Baltic Fleet of the Russian Armed Forces in the past six months.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine recalls that in April 2024, as a result of operation 'Fishing', the missile boat 'Serpukhov' was disabled.
