How the UNHCR assistance program works in Ukraine
The program is implemented by UNHCR in collaboration with Ukrainian charitable organizations, including the charity fund 'Right to Protection'. The goal of this initiative is to support internally displaced persons who have lost their housing, jobs, or found themselves in financial difficulties due to the war.
These payments are not a one-time action but part of a long-term humanitarian program that has been ongoing since 2022.
It was previously reported that in 2025, UNHCR requested $550 million for aid to Ukrainians, but currently, only 45% of this request has been funded.
