The Minister of Justice has already been appointed: Who will lead the key ministry.
According to ТСН: Consultations are ongoing in the President's Office regarding important ministerial appointments, and decisions on several key positions are expected soon.
The candidacy for the position of Minister of Justice
According to information from sources, a candidate for the position of Minister of Justice has already been determined: it is the current head of the Legal Committee of the Verkhovna Rada from the 'Servant of the People' faction, Denis Maslov.
The situation with the Minister of Energy
No candidate has been chosen for the Minister of Energy yet. Previously, the main candidates were Serhiy Koretsky from 'Naftogaz' and Andriy Herus from the 'Servant of the People' faction, but both declined the position. Currently, the position of the minister is held by the acting Artem Nekrasov, and the search for a new head of the Ministry of Energy continues as part of a comprehensive recruitment process.
Dismissals and new appointments
We remind that the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, previously stated that the candidacy for the position of Minister of Justice has already been established.
The Minister of Justice and the Minister of Energy, Herman Halushchenko and Svitlana Hrynchuk, resigned due to corruption investigations in the energy sector. President Zelensky noted that this was a 'matter of trust'. Currently, Artem Nekrasov (Ministry of Energy) and Lyudmila Suhak (Ministry of Justice) are appointed as interim leaders, and the final candidacies have not yet been approved, due to rejections of potential candidates and a lack of consensus.
In summary, the situation in the President's Office indicates active searches for new forces for important ministries. This is particularly relevant for the energy sector, where the resignation of the previous leadership has drawn additional attention to the problems in the industry. We will follow further news as these appointments can have significant impacts on the development of key sectors of the Ukrainian economy.
