Snow and Ice: Bad Weather to Paralyze Roads in Many Regions on Friday.
According to ТСН: On Friday, severe weather conditions are expected in several regions of Ukraine: snowstorms, blizzards, and icy conditions are forecasted.
This is reported by meteorologists from 'Ukrhydrometcenter' and rescuers from the State Emergency Service.
Weather Forecast by Regions
In the night before Friday and in the morning, significant snowfalls and blizzards should be expected in Rivne, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy regions, as well as in Kyiv. Heavy rain mixed with snow is also predicted in Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
Warning about Danger
Meteorologists warn of wind gusts of 15-20 m/s and blizzards. Bad weather will affect Volyn, Rivne, Lviv, Ternopil, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Mykolaiv, and Kharkiv regions.
On the roads of most regions of Ukraine, a very slippery surface is forecasted, leading to a Level I danger being declared.
'Drivers and pedestrians, be as cautious as possible. Due to strong winds and icy conditions, the situation on the roads may be critical,' rescuers emphasize.
Situation in Europe
Let us remind you that Europe is also covered by a powerful blizzard. The bad weather has caused serious disruptions in transport: hundreds of flights have been canceled at airports in various countries, including France, the Netherlands, and Germany. Due to worsening weather conditions on the continent, at least six people have died.
