Pastor Forgives Wife's Killer: How the Mushroom Poisoning Survivor Lived.
According to The Sun: The only survivor of a fatal mushroom lunch, Erin Patterson, forgave her after she was found guilty of murdering his wife and two friends.
Ian Wilkinson, 71, spent three weeks in intensive care after being served a deadly lunch containing poisonous mushrooms from the treacherous Patterson.
"My prayer for her is that she spends her time in prison wisely, to become a better person. I urge Erin to accept my offer of forgiveness for the harm done to me with full acknowledgment and repentance. I hold no hatred towards her. I am no longer a victim of Erin Patterson; she has become a victim of my kindness."
The 50-year-old Australian was found guilty of murdering her in-laws, Gail and Don Patterson, along with Mr. Wilkinson's wife and Gail's sister, Heather.
Baptist pastor Mr. Wilkinson addressed the court today in a victim statement, saying he feels “half alive” without Heather around.
"The silence in our home is a daily reminder. I continue to carry the heavy burden of grief over her untimely death. It's truly a horrific thought to live with the knowledge that someone could decide to take her life."
