Ukraine's 'NATIONAL RESISTANCE 2026' Forum

According to Novyny.live: At the all-Ukrainian 'NATIONAL RESISTANCE 2026' forum held on March 12, Deputy Commander of the Third Army Corps, Maksym Zhorin, emphasized the critical importance of ideological training for military personnel. He stated that such preparation significantly impacts the rate at which soldiers return to duty after being wounded and contributes to a reduction in mortality rates. This focus on psychological resilience is increasingly seen as a key component of modern military effectiveness.

Zhorin noted that proper personnel management is crucial for achieving low rates of serious illness and high rates of return for soldiers after injuries. While practical skills like applying a tourniquet or administering first aid are vital, he stressed that without a solid ideological foundation, these actions lack their full potential impact.

'Practical training gives you the skills: how to apply a tourniquet, what to do, where to move someone, how to carry them, and so on. That's the practical part. But to actually move and start doing these practical things, you must have answers to why you are doing it, why you specifically must do it, and so forth. And it is precisely the ideological and patriotic training that provides the answers to these questions,' Maksym Zhorin

The Third Army Corps is commanded by Andrii Biletskyi. Zhorin's comments on the importance of ideological training highlight the growing role of moral and psychological factors in contemporary warfare and personnel recovery. This approach reflects a broader understanding that a soldier's will to fight and recover is as important as their technical skills.

The Relevance of Ideological Training Today

The topic of ideological preparation for troops is especially pertinent in modern conflicts, where morale and patriotism can directly influence mission effectiveness. The emphasis on this aspect suggests new approaches within the Ukrainian military to training and personnel development, which could affect the overall condition of the forces and their capacity to recover from injuries.

Given the current situation in the country, such initiatives could have significant long-term consequences for Ukraine's defense capabilities.
