Streets in Mykolaiv Named After Hero Pilots.
In Mykolaiv, four streets are now named after Vadym Blahovisny, Hennadiy Matulyak, Danylo Murashko, and Yehor Seredyuk. These combat pilots were posthumously awarded the title Hero of Ukraine for their service in the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade of the Air Forces, the Air Forces of Ukraine report.
Major Danylo Murashko made 137 sorties with combat use, destroying much enemy equipment and personnel. On January 27, 2023, he was killed when his aircraft was shot down by a Russian fighter. Lieutenant Colonel Vadym Blahovisny also carried out combat missions, destroying much equipment and occupiers. He was killed on September 7, 2022. Captain Yehor Seredyuk, the commander of an aviation link, made 25 combat sorties but was killed on April 15, 2022, when his aircraft was shot down by Russian occupiers. Lieutenant Colonel Hennadiy Matulyak also carried out combat missions but was killed on February 25, 2022, during an air battle with a Russian fighter.
