According to TSN.ua: Iran has threatened Ukraine for supplying drones to Israel, warning of serious regional security repercussions. Ebrahim Azizi, head of the Iranian parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that
“failing Ukraine has effectively become a party to the war and, under Article 51 of the UN Charter, has turned its entire territory into a legitimate target for Iran.”This remark signals escalating tensions between the two countries amid the ongoing conflict, with Iran framing Ukraine's actions as a direct provocation.
Ukraine's Diplomatic and Defensive Response
In parallel, Ukraine is taking steps to bolster its defenses. President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the deployment of three expert teams to Middle Eastern nations, specifically Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
“This week, all three will be in three different countries,”he stated. Zelensky added,
“Regarding the situation in the Middle East, we have sent our teams,”underscoring the importance of international cooperation in countering Iranian drones, known as 'Shaheds.'
