Iran Warns US: A Ground War Would Be a Catastrophe for America.
Iran-US Relations and Regional Tensions
According to TSN.ua: Iran has dismissed the threat of a potential US ground invasion, warning that such a move would end in disaster for American forces. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Tehran sees no point in diplomatic contact with the United States and confirmed the support it receives from Russia and China. According to him, Iran is prepared for any escalation and has no plans to seek a ceasefire.
The ongoing US-Israeli military operation in the Middle East, known as 'Epic Fury', has heightened concerns in Tehran. Abbas Araghchi emphasized that his country is not asking for a truce and sees no reason to negotiate with the United States.
"We have never sent them any messages," stated Abbas Araghchi.
Iran's Military Preparedness
In light of the current situation, Iran is ready for a ground war with the US, as Araghchi further declared:
"No, we are waiting for them. A potential invasion would be a great catastrophe for them," said Abbas Araghchi. The Iranian Foreign Minister also expressed gratitude for the support the nation receives from Russia and China, noting: "They have always helped us."
Meanwhile, it is important to note that Ukraine has emerged as a key defense partner for Western and Arab states, highlighting the significance of international alliances amid rising Middle Eastern tensions. This regional instability is unfolding against a complex global backdrop. Abbas Araghchi, however, declined to provide specifics on Iran's next steps in the heat of conflict, stating: "I will not provide details in the heat of war."
The situation in the region remains extremely tense, with Iranian leaders demonstrating a readiness for military action should the conflict escalate. The absence of diplomatic channels between Iran and the US complicates the potential for a peaceful resolution, while support from Russia and China underscores the shifting global geopolitical alignments at play. The international community must monitor developments closely, as any further escalation could have severe consequences for global security.
