Italian senator got a tattoo with the coat of arms of Ukraine: what does it mean.
According to inkorr.com: The leader of the Italian liberal party 'Action' and senator Carlo Calenda expressed his support for Ukraine by getting a tattoo depicting the Ukrainian coat of arms on his wrist. This was reported by 'Glavcom'.
The politician shared a photo of his tattoo on social media, writing: 'This tattoo will stay forever'.
Support for Ukraine from Carlo Calenda
Carlo Calenda continuously advocates for Ukraine in its struggle, calling for the provision of necessary resources to Kyiv to resist the Russian aggressor.
Commenting on his decision, the senator stated for the tg.la7 publication: 'I chose Ukraine because Ukrainian guys just a few kilometers from us are protecting us from the dangerous murderer, Putin, who has plans for Europe. And because I have a personal connection with this country, I have seen them, I know about their bravery, and I am happy to support them'.
The news of Calenda's support is also accompanied by the recognition of a new species of butterfly named after Ukrainian refugee Irina Zarutska, who died from a stab wound.
The butterfly named 'Iryna's Azure' was first discovered by researcher Ronald Gatrell in South Carolina back in 1985, but at that time, this species of insect did not receive an official name.
Carlo Calenda's tattoo and the name of the butterfly in honor of the Ukrainian refugee signify the attention and support that the world is giving to the Ukrainian people in their struggle for independence. These acts raise awareness of the importance of supporting Ukraine, which is currently on the front lines of defending European values.
