Israel Strikes Iran's Ballistic Missile Production: Operation Details.
In response to the previous attack, Israel struck facilities of Iran's ballistic missile program. As a result of the strike, 12 "planetary mixers" used for manufacturing fuel for ballistic missiles were destroyed. This is high-tech equipment that Iran cannot produce independently and is forced to purchase from China. It will take Iran at least a year to restore production.
During the operation, four S-300 air defense batteries that protected Tehran and Iranian nuclear and energy facilities were also hit. Israeli sources claim that the strikes were conducted from the territories of Syria and Iraq.
U.S. President Joe Biden stated that the Israeli strike was targeted only at military objectives and hopes for an end to the exchange of strikes between the countries. He also held a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris and the national security team on the latest developments in the Middle East.
The Prime Minister of Qatar expressed serious concern over the escalation of the conflict in the region and called on all parties to exercise maximum restraint to avoid further destabilization of the situation.
Blinken in Israel will discuss the settlement of the Middle East situation.
