In Odesa Region, 9 draft evaders were detained: they walked to Moldova for 3 days

In the Odesa region, border guards caught men who were trying to illegally cross the border with Moldova through Transnistria. They had been walking for several days, relying on advice from a Telegram channel. This was reported on Saturday, August 2, by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

According to their data, nine residents from various corners of Ukraine decided to cross the border in the riskiest way — through Transnistria. Instead of maps and compasses, they had only advice from a Telegram channel, which promised them a 'guaranteed' route for 130-150 thousand hryvnias.

The draft evaders walked to Moldova for three days but did not succeed — border guards received advance information from operatives and stopped all nine. The offenders were detained near the border. Administrative protocols were drawn up against the men for attempting illegal crossing. Their cases have already been forwarded to the court.

It should be noted that the border guards had exposed two residents of Lviv who organized a scheme for the illegal transportation of persons across the state border. We also reported that in Transcarpathia, border guards detained a group of men. They claimed they were allegedly going to their grandmother's funeral in Romania.
