The Cabinet has obliged female medical workers to register for military service: what does it mean.
The government has adopted resolution No. 916, which concerns women with medical and pharmaceutical education in the context of mobilization. According to the new regulations, they must undergo a military medical commission and register for military service, but this does not mean mandatory mobilization.
Institutions preparing specialists in medical and pharmaceutical fields are required to submit lists of graduates to local recruitment and social support centers within 7 days after graduation.
Female graduates must personally appear at local recruitment and social support centers within 60 days after graduation to undergo the military medical commission.
If a woman decides to voluntarily enlist in military service, she must undergo a military medical commission and obtain a military accounting specialty corresponding to her civilian profession before signing a contract for military service.
These changes in the mobilization rules only apply to women with medical and pharmaceutical education and make military service voluntary for them.
