According to Novyny.live: In March 2023, the charitable organization 'Caritas Ukraine' will distribute financial grants to internally displaced persons and other citizens impacted by the conflict. Specifically, the program includes agricultural grants aimed at developing farms in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Each grant amounts to approximately $850, equivalent to 37,800 Ukrainian hryvnias.

The initiative operates across three communities in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: Krynychanska, Likhivska, and Vyshnivska. Eligibility hinges on demonstrating social and economic vulnerability within households. Grant funds can be allocated to:

  • purchasing equipment
  • plant protection products
  • livestock
  • animal feed
  • seeds and seedlings

Applicants must utilize land plots ranging from 0.05 to 1 hectare and provide confirmation that they have no plans to relocate within the next six months.

Furthermore, under the 'REMARKET' program, Ukrainians in Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Mykolaiv can access up to 237,000 UAH for entrepreneurial ventures.

Who Qualifies for the Grants

It should be emphasized that grants from Caritas Ukraine are available to:

  • large families
  • individuals with disabilities
  • people with chronic or severe illnesses
  • single parents or guardians
  • families with children under three years old or pregnant women
  • elderly individuals (aged 60 and above)
  • unemployed citizens aged 50 and older

This effort aims to support the most vulnerable populations who have suffered due to the war.
