Kellogg names Trump's main goal in Ukraine.
US President Donald Trump has stated that achieving peace in Ukraine is one of the main priorities of his government. This was announced by General Keith Kellogg, who is being considered for the position of special envoy on Ukrainian issues, in an interview with Fox Business.
Trump believes in the necessity of ensuring sustainable and secure peace, as well as ending the war on Ukrainian territory. Kellogg noted that Trump promises to find an effective approach to resolving the conflict, taking into account the failures that occurred within the Minsk process.
«The president is very consistent in his goals: it is peace that will be just, sustainable, and secure,» Kellogg emphasized, adding that Trump is keen to stop the bloodshed and ensure stability in the region.
Kellogg also emphasized that Trump understands the importance of cooperation with his allies and dialogue with Putin, the head of the Kremlin. He believes that Trump will be able to resolve this conflict in the near future.
Special representative Kellogg will arrive in Kyiv on a mission from Trump.
