Kellogg revealed the details of the U.S. peace plan with 22 points.
The U.S. offers a plan to end hostilities
In the first point of the 'peace plan' from the U.S., which contains 22 points, it speaks of the necessity for a complete ceasefire. This was reported by Keith Kellogg, the personal representative of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Kellogg stated that a ceasefire could lead to an immediate end to the war.
U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed the presentation of a solid plan in Istanbul. The results of the meetings in London are aiding in the creation of a comprehensive plan based on 22 points aimed at achieving peace. The first point is a complete ceasefire, which could lead to the cessation of violence, Kellogg noted.
The document also emphasizes the importance of security guarantees as a condition for achieving a peace agreement, even if temporary concessions must be made in favor of Russia.
It was previously stated that the approach and method of negotiations by the U.S. Special Envoy Steve Vitkoff with Russia cause concern within Donald Trump's administration. Sources report that Vitkoff violates established diplomatic practice by participating in negotiations without the accompaniment of advisors, experts, and military personnel.
During the discussion of the peace plan, Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to discuss the proposed points, leading to the cancellation of the next meeting between Vitkoff and Putin.
