According to law enforcement, the price for this illegal service was set at $3,000 per individual. The suspect also quoted a price of $3,500 to have a client's name removed from a wanted persons list, a task he delegated to an accomplice.

Investigators have charged him with complicity in bribe-taking. If convicted under this charge, the perpetrator could face a prison sentence of up to ten years.
Broader Context in Ukraine
Furthermore, to be released from custody while the case proceeds, the suspect must post bail of one million hryvnias. This incident highlights the persistent challenge of corruption within Ukraine, a particularly damaging issue during wartime. The investigation is ongoing, and further developments are expected. This case comes as Ukraine continues its fight against systemic corruption, a key requirement for its integration into Western institutions like the EU and NATO.
The discovery of this bribery scheme amid ongoing military conflict underscores the difficulties Ukraine faces in combating graft. Such incidents risk eroding public trust in state institutions and can hinder crucial mobilization efforts.
