Kyiv Adjusts Curfew Rules to Allow Access to Critical Support Centers

According to Novyny.live: Kyiv's Defense Council has amended the city's curfew regulations, permitting residents to use private vehicles, including taxis, to reach 'Invincibility Points' during the overnight hours. The changes, announced on January 17 by official Timur Tkachenko, introduce key exceptions to the standing security measures.

While the nightly curfew remains in effect, the new exemptions are designed to ease daily life for the capital's residents. These 'Invincibility Points'—support centers providing heat, electricity, and aid—can operate around the clock, ensuring help is available at all times.

“This allows people to get home at night, including from trains that have arrived late,”

Timur Tkachenko

Despite these adjustments, security remains a top priority. Tkachenko emphasized that police patrols across the city are being reinforced to maintain order and safety while the curfew is active. These centers have become a vital part of Ukraine's civilian infrastructure since Russia's full-scale invasion began in 2022.

New Options for Kyiv Residents

Consequently, the revised curfew rules create crucial options for Kyiv residents who require urgent access to assistance, without compromising the overall security level in the city.

The policy shift represents a significant step toward ensuring greater mobility for the capital's inhabitants during wartime. Access to 'Invincibility Points' is critically important, as they provide essential aid and resources. The new rules grant residents a safer means of moving through the city, potentially easing the considerable burdens of life under martial law.
