Kyiv in Darkness: Critical Electricity Shortage After Shelling.
Critical Electricity Shortage in Kyiv
According to Novyny.live: Kyiv is facing a critical electricity shortage after recent Russian attacks. The consequences of the shelling, which have led to an even greater electricity deficit in the capital, were discussed on the program 'Evening.LIVE'. The guests of the show included:
- Vadym Ivchenko
- Volodymyr Kreidenko
- Maria Mezentseva-Fedorenko
- Bohdan Kitzak
- Mykhailo Tsyymbalyuk
The Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko confirmed the difficult situation with electricity supply, noting that even to ensure critical infrastructure, there is not enough light.
'After today's shelling, there is currently an even greater electricity deficit in the capital. Energy workers are at work. But the situation is extremely difficult,' Klitschko said.
The Ministry of Energy currently has no forecasts regarding the restoration of electricity supply in Kyiv. Meanwhile, significant electricity and heating outages are observed in the capital.
Impact of Military Actions on the Energy System
The critical situation with electricity supply in Kyiv is a consequence of not only military actions but also the overall tension in the country's energy system. In wartime, where infrastructure is subject to constant attacks, restoring electricity supply becomes an increasingly complex task. This raises concerns among the population, as power outages can have serious consequences for the livelihoods and safety of citizens.
