Kyivavtodor Faces Staff Reservation Challenges

According to Novyny.live: The municipal corporation 'Kyivavtodor' anticipates temporary difficulties in securing draft deferments for its employees during the transition to new regulations. Oleh Burduzha, head of the street and road network maintenance department at Kyivavtodor, stated that there may be several days when certain workers lose their reservation status. This could affect the corporation's operations, as deferments currently apply to only a portion of the workforce—up to 75% of employees.

It is worth noting that Kyivavtodor cannot reserve all of its staff. This limitation has partly contributed to a workforce exodus, according to a corporate representative. The company currently has open positions to fill, highlighting a persistent labor shortage.

Appeals to Government Authorities

The Kyiv City State Administration has reached out to the Cabinet of Ministers, the National Security and Defense Council, and the Presidential Office to address the reservation issue, which threatens the efficiency of this municipal service. Meanwhile, Kyivavtodor's leadership is working to find optimal solutions to ensure stable operations amid these new challenges.

This situation underscores the critical role of employee deferments in maintaining uninterrupted municipal services, especially during times of instability. A lack of personnel could reduce the quality of road maintenance and urban infrastructure upkeep—essential for the city's normal functioning. Resolving the reservation problem has become a top priority for both local authorities and Kyivavtodor's management.
