Klitschko once again went on vacation during the war: reactions from experts and Kyiv residents.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has again taken a five-day vacation at the most inappropriate time. An expert in public administration expressed his outrage at the situation, emphasizing that the capital has many problems that require the mayor's attention.
In a live broadcast, the expert was outraged that the mayor decided to go on vacation during a full-scale invasion and regular enemy strikes on the capital.
'This is already his (Klitschko's - ed.) fourth vacation during the war. Apparently, there is nothing to do in Kyiv. But let him go see: the windows in the houses that were hit are still not glazed. At least he could have gone to see, then he would have gone on vacation', Gleb said.
Kyiv residents are also outraged by this decision of the mayor. Polls showed that most believe that Klitschko's vacation at such a time is inappropriate.
Additionally, it is worth noting that Klitschko's vacation coincided with the emergence of corruption scandals in the Kyiv City State Administration (KCSA). Several officials have been charged with embezzlement of funds intended for the city's repairs.
All of this creates an unfavorable atmosphere for city governance at such an important time when Kyiv requires maximum attention and coordination of efforts from the city authorities to protect residents and infrastructure.
