Discussion of readiness for crisis situations in Odesa region
According to inkorr.com: The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko met with local community leaders in the Odesa region to discuss the region's readiness for possible power outages and threats from enemy shelling. As reported by the portal 'Hlavkom', several decisions were made during the meeting that will improve cooperation between services and preparation for potential crises.
Each region must have its own action plan and headquarters for responding to emergencies. The Minister emphasized the importance of preparing for potential attacks on energy infrastructure, stressing the need for effective coordination between different services.
A number of decisions were adopted during the meeting, including:
- Creation of headquarters for coordinating actions in case of prolonged power outages.
- Preparation of personnel of the National Police and SES for an increased mode of operation.
- Updating data on electrical networks and communication to optimize resources in the regions.
- Provision of mobile towers to support communication for emergency services in crisis situations.
At the end of the visit, the Minister expressed gratitude to police officers, rescuers, border guards, and the guards of the Odesa garrison, highlighting their professionalism. As noted by The Economist, Russian attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure, carried out by drones and missiles, are becoming increasingly aggressive.
Such meetings are important for strengthening the security of regions, especially in the face of modern threats. Preparation for crisis situations can help reduce the consequences of possible attacks and improve the response of services in emergencies. The readiness of the authorities and services to ensure the safety of the population must be a priority, as the stability of the region depends on their coordinated functioning.
