The Juche calendar, which was used in North Korea, is no longer valid. It began from the year of Kim Il Sung's birth, the founder of the DPRK. Two calendars were used when writing dates: Juche and Gregorian.

In the official statements of Kim Jong Un and the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Juche year was indicated. But in the address of Kim Jong Un's sister, the year was simply indicated as 2024, without mentioning the Juche calendar.

The main DPRK newspaper, Rodong Sinmun, also stopped using Juche chronology for indicating dates.

According to a South Korean official, the cessation of the Juche calendar's use is part of creating a personality cult of Kim Jong Un, distinct from the legacy of his ancestors.

North Korea is preparing military personnel for the war in Ukraine

Reports indicate that North Korea is preparing 10,000 military personnel for the war in Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that this concerns various types of military.

About 1.4 million young people have applied for enlistment or return to the army due to Seoul's provocation with drones, which has escalated the border situation to nearly a state of war.

It was previously stated that if information about the participation of North Korean military in the war against Ukraine on the side of Russia is confirmed, it will be an important step in deepening relations between Russia and North Korea.

At the border with Bryansk and Kursk regions, 18 North Korean military personnel were detected who had fled from Russian positions.
