Former US Envoy Kellogg: Ukraine's Prospects Strengthen as Kremlin Strategy Falters.
Keith Kellogg's Assessment of the Ukraine War
According to UATV: Keith Kellogg, the former US Special Representative for Ukraine negotiations, has stated that the Kremlin has already failed in its war aims and that time is increasingly on Ukraine's side. He pointed out that while Russia conducts daily attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, it is failing to achieve its strategic objectives. Kellogg also argued that Russian President Vladimir Putin's definition of victory is detached from the reality on the ground.
A Shift in Momentum
Kellogg believes Russia's strategy has proven unsuccessful. He emphasized that the end of winter and the arrival of longer days will favor Ukraine's position over the long term.
“When winter ends and the days get longer, I think that will be better for Ukraine than for the Russian Federation,” said Keith Kellogg.
His comments underscore an optimistic forecast for Ukraine, highlighting its growing chances of success in countering Russian aggression. This perspective comes as Western military and economic aid continues to bolster Ukrainian defenses.
Kellogg's remarks reflect the broader context of international support for Ukraine and analyses of Russia's wartime strategy, now in its third year. Amid relentless attacks on critical infrastructure, understanding how seasonal changes and sustained allied backing may influence future developments is crucial. Ukraine's ultimate victory depends not only on battlefield success but also on its resilience against the economic and psychological pressure exerted by the aggressor.
