Trump's Team to Nominate Him for the Nobel Peace Prize – The Hill.

Republican Issa Nominated Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize
American Congressman Darrell Issa has nominated U.S. President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize, believing that Trump deserves it the most. According to Issa, the reason for the nomination stems from Trump's peaceful efforts in the Middle East and his desire to ensure a world without war. Issa's deputy added that Trump has inspired and promoted the cause of peace since his election.
Such statements were made after U.S. policy regarding the war in Ukraine changed – Trump increased pressure on President Zelensky and renewed contacts with Putin. It is worth noting that Trump has previously been nominated for this prestigious award but did not receive it.
About the Nobel Peace Prize
The Nobel Peace Prize is awarded annually for outstanding achievements in the fields of science, technology, culture, or society. Laureates are chosen by an independent committee based in Oslo, Norway. In 2024, this award was given to the Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo, which advocates for nuclear disarmament.
Trump and Musk Compete for the Nobel Peace Prize
In addition to Trump, entrepreneur Elon Musk is also a contender for the Nobel Peace Prize for his contribution to the defense of free speech and human rights. People's Deputy Alexander Merezhko also nominated Trump for this award to draw his attention and seek assistance for Ukraine in achieving a just and sustainable peace based on international law.
