The Commander of the Naval Forces of Ukraine, Oleksii Neizhpapa, hinted at the Defense Forces' preparations for a new attack on the Kerch Bridge. This was reported by 'Glucom' citing a publication from The Guardian.

In a conversation with the British media, Vice admiral Neizhpapa expressed optimism that the Ukrainian army would succeed in destroying the Kerch Bridge, which Russia illegally built to connect its territory with the occupied Crimea.

«The Russians understand that we are actively discussing the third operation. There is a saying: God loves the Trinity,» he said, smiling.

According to Neizhpapa, the Russian military can no longer transport heavy wagons across the railway bridge after two previous Ukrainian strikes that damaged the road and railway structure.

The Kerch Bridge is strategically important for supplying the annexed Crimea as well as for supplying manpower, equipment, and weapons for combat operations in Ukraine.

It should be noted that Russia has put Georgian citizen Oleksandr Inasaridze and Ukrainian citizen Serhii Andriichenko on the international wanted list. They are accused of involvement in the explosion on the Crimean Bridge in October 2022.

Work on destroying the Crimean Bridge in Kharkiv continues

Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, reported that work on preparations for the destruction of the Crimean Bridge is ongoing. Ukrainian defenders may be able to destroy it this year.

As reported, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have developed a plan for returning Crimea under Ukraine's control and destroying the Crimean Bridge.

Moreover, Russian law enforcement agencies accuse the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Maliuk, of the attack on the Crimean Bridge in 2023.
