Ukrainian Armed Forces are crippling Russian air defense systems in Crimea: why the enemy is restoring them so quickly.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to attack the air defense systems located on the Russian-occupied peninsula of Crimea. After each such strike, enemy forces carefully restore damaged facilities and air defense systems.
This was reported by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, during the marathon 'Unified News'.
Importance of air defense systems in Crimea
The density of air defense systems in Crimea is significantly higher than in Russia, especially around the bridge over the Kerch Strait, which is a strategically important facility that needs to be defended.
‘They are very actively maintaining these systems, as it is extremely important for them to protect the Crimean Bridge for many reasons. This defense has both propaganda and strategic significance. A similar situation exists in Novorossiysk. It is the only place where the enemies can feel relatively safe’,— explained the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk.
Pletenchuk also added that after each strike by Ukrainian forces, the enemy does everything possible to restore the damaged installations and equipment as quickly as possible.
