Problems with the heating season in the temporarily occupied Crimea
In several cities of Crimea, which are currently under temporary occupation, there are serious difficulties with the start of the heating season. Residents complain about the lack of heat, while utility services are unable to fix the breakdowns in the heat supply networks, as reported by 'Glavkom' referring to Russian media. In Simferopol, many houses and streets remain without heating, causing significant outrage among residents. Breakdowns in the heat supply networks complicate the situation, forcing utility workers to operate in emergency mode.Among the reasons for the delay in starting the heating season are not only inadequate preparation for winter but also the wear and tear of heat supply networks that cannot withstand the load in areas of intensive development. Politician Stepan Kiskin notes that those responsible for this situation need to be held accountable, and experts emphasize the likelihood of falsification of readiness certificates for buildings. Emergencies, for example, on Lermontov Street in Simferopol, further complicate the situation. In addition to heating problems, there are also widespread human rights violations in temporarily occupied Crimea, including the detention of over 220 political prisoners.Despite statements about the region's readiness for the heating season, in practice, the situation remains critical. Local residents who face the lack of heat are increasingly concerned about their living conditions in the cold season. At the same time, human rights issues remain under the scrutiny of international organizations that are monitoring the situation in the region.Read also
